This sample part shows various HighSpeed production machining strategies in GibbsCAM using Garant tools. Machining was done in a Mazak Vertical Center 3-axis mill, with Mazak SMART control at Ravema’s facilities in Sweden. Movie illustrates the benefits of using relatively small tools and high feedrates Efficient GibbsCAM milling strategies used were; – Hifeed Spiral Facemilling, Plungeroughing, VoluMill Dynamic Milling and HiSpeed chamfering. Another benefit is that the CNC code produced in GibbsCAM does not require advanced HiSpeed functionality in the machines controller. This particular machine had no extra HiSpeed options installed.
